It will cost about $3 per child, which includes food, fun, and a gift.

In Makeni, Kailahun, and Lungi City, this event will cater to over 1,000 children from underprivileged backgrounds, offering them a day filled with love, fun, and spiritual nourishment.

Through this event, we aim to embody the true spirit of Christmas—sharing hope, faith, and love while creating a lasting spiritual and emotional impact on the lives of these children.

Preaching the Gospel and Showing Love Like Jesus Christ
Project Title: Kids Palooza Christmas Party: Preaching the Gospel, Showing Love Like Jesus, and Celebrating Christmas with Children in Sierra Leone

1. Executive Summary
The Kids Palooza Christmas Party is a Christ-centered initiative designed to spread the joy of Christmas and share the Gospel with children in Sierra Leone. In Makeni, Kailahun, and Lungi City, this event will cater to over 1,000 children from underprivileged backgrounds, offering them a day filled with love, fun, and spiritual nourishment.
Key activities include a Christmas feast, Bible-based games, music, arts and crafts, and the distribution of gifts, all rooted in Jesus Christ's teachings. Through this event, we aim to embody the true spirit of Christmas—sharing hope, faith, and love while creating a lasting spiritual and emotional impact on the lives of these children.
2. Background and Rationale
Sierra Leone faces ongoing challenges such as poverty and limited resources for children, especially during festive seasons like Christmas. Many children miss out on the joy of celebration, leaving a gap we seek to fill with this Christ-focused event.
Jesus emphasized the importance of children in His ministry, saying, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). Inspired by this teaching, the Kids Palooza Christmas Party aims to be a beacon of hope and love, meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the children it serves.
3. Project Goals and Objectives
Main Goal:
To host a Christ-centered Christmas celebration for 1,000+ children across three cities, sharing the Gospel, demonstrating God’s love, and providing food, fun, and gifts.
Specific Objectives:
• Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children and families, sharing the message of hope and salvation.
• Provide a nutritious Christmas meal to nourish children physically and spiritually.
• Conduct fun, Christ-focused activities that teach biblical principles.
• Distribute gifts to children, embodying the spirit of giving demonstrated by Jesus.
• Foster community, kindness, and generosity among participants.
4. Target Beneficiaries
The project will serve children aged 4-15 from Makeni, Kailahun, and Lungi City. Priority will be given to those from low-income families, orphanages, and marginalized communities. Parents and families are also welcome, allowing for a broader outreach opportunity.
5. Project Activities
Community Outreach and Engagement:
• Collaborate with local churches, schools, and community organizations to invite children and families.
• Train and organize volunteers to assist with logistics and supervision.
Gospel Preaching and Spiritual Activities:
• Share the Christmas story and Gospel message through storytelling, songs, and drama.
• Provide Gospel materials, including tracts and devotionals, as takeaways.
Christmas Meal and Refreshments:
• Serve a delicious and nutritious Christmas meal, prepared in a sanitary and loving manner.
• Include local dishes to create a culturally resonant celebration.
Games, Activities, and Arts & Crafts:
• Host interactive games, Bible quizzes, and arts and crafts sessions to engage children while reinforcing biblical teachings.
• Include music and dance performances, emphasizing the joy of the season.
Gift Distribution:
• Provide Christmas gifts such as toys, school supplies, clothes, and hygiene kits.
• Present the gifts as a reflection of God’s love and generosity.
Health and Safety:
• Ensure food safety and proper hygiene throughout the event.
• Implement child protection protocols to safeguard all participants.
7. Sustainability and Impact
While the Kids Palooza Christmas Party is a seasonal event, it lays the foundation for long-term community outreach. By partnering with local churches and community leaders, we aim to maintain relationships that will sustain the spiritual growth initiated through this event.
The Gospel seeds sown during the event will foster lasting faith in children and their families. Moreover, the established sense of community and love will strengthen bonds among participants, reflecting Christ’s teachings.
